Turkish and Arabic coffee cups are often confused — and for good reason. They share the same cultural lineage and are remarkably similar. But there are subtle differences worth knowing if you're choosing cups for your coffee ritual.
Both are small (60-100ml), often handleless, made from porcelain or fine ceramic, and designed for concentrated, unfiltered coffee. If you bought a set of our cups and served Turkish coffee in them, no one would bat an eye.
Turkish cups sometimes include a handle and saucer set (more European influence). Arabic cups (finjan) are almost always handleless and slightly wider at the rim. Turkish cups often feature ornate painted designs, while Arabic cups tend toward metallic accents or solid colors.
If you drink Arabic gahwa, our traditional 80ml cups are perfect. If you drink Turkish coffee, the same cups work beautifully. If you drink both (or espresso), our cups handle all three.
